Do you need IR illumination and White light?

Lighting is key for the proper functioning of the license plate recognition system. The choice of using IR light or a combination of IR and white light mainly depends on whether the plates are reflective or not. White light helps increase accuracy in both black & white and color recognition; however, a minimum of 100 lux is required for color processing.
