⟶ Client’s Needs

This system meets Amazon’s needs for controlling the access of cargo vehicles while ensuring the security of the premises and its surroundings. Amazon’s facilities in Martorelles (Barcelona) require versatile capture units that can provide efficient license plate reading on wide roadways and reliable license plate recognition despite the various positions and tilts of the license plates due to different vehicle access points. For this reason, at Innova, we have designed a solution that combines our SIRAM Suite technology with SIRAM Totem capture units.

⟶ Solution Technology

An important factor in this deployment is the versatility and reliability of the SIRAM OCR license plate recognition system, as truck entry and exit points are particularly challenging for implementing LPR systems due to the width of the lanes and the difficulty in properly channeling the vehicles. Therefore, it was necessary to provide a SIRAM license plate recognition solution that can operate in a lane with a width greater than 5 meters and with vehicles entering from different locations, while still offering accurate license plate reading even when the plates have different tilts and positions.

To achieve this, the SIRAM Totem capture unit was chosen, considering its placement in the lanes and being the camera with the highest number of LEDs, ensuring a 100% effective license plate reading.
