⟶ Continental: Smart parking management

Thanks to our collaboration with Came Parkare, we have implemented our LPR technology in the opening AURA parking lot in Avda. Diagonal, Barcelona. Our technological solutions, based on deep learning, SIRAM OCR5 and TwinPlate+, have enabled the implementation of a dynamic ALPR system for cars and motorcycles (rear and front plate recognition), ensuring an accuracy rate of over 99%.

⟶ Client’s Needs

The remodeling of one of Barcelona’s most unique buildings, an architectural icon of the city, has given rise to the AURA parking facilities. The objectives pursued by Continental Parking were:

1. Space Optimization: Maximize the efficient use of parking spaces in a complex architectural environment.
2. Traffic Flow: Ensure a constant and orderly flow of vehicles without congestion or long waiting times.
3. User Experience:Provide a frictionless parking experience, without the need for physical tickets and with a high level of security. The user makes his parking reservation and the barrier opens thanks to automatic license plate recognition (LPR).

⟶ Solution Technology

For this, Came Parkare & Innova has designed a customized technological installation to meet all needs. After a thorough analysis of lanes, access/exit points, hardware availability, management and payment platforms, we decided to implement our intelligent automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) system SIRAM OCR5 combined with TwinPlate+. TwinPlate is a solution that allows dual identification of vehicles, including motorcycles and cars, without the use of parking tickets.

The implementation of this technological combination provided Continental Parking’s AURA facility with:

• +99% Accuracy: The combination of OCR5 and TwinPlate ensures near-perfect detection of all vehicles, minimizing errors and boosting operational efficiency.
• Cost Savings: Eliminating the need for physical tickets and reducing staff for parking management significantly lowers operational costs.
• Frictionless Entry and Exit: Users can enter and exit the parking facility without stopping to take or return tickets, streamlining the process and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Enhanced Security: Continuous monitoring systems increase the overall security of the parking facility.

The implementation of these advanced technological solutions in the AURA parking lot has allowed not only to optimize the vehicle entry and exit process, but also to offer a superior user experience. In addition, the accuracy rate of SIRAM OCR5 and TwinPlate+ has meant a significant improvement in the profitability of the business.
