In addition, this mobility project represents a strong commitment to technological innovation, sustainability, and universal accessibility. Within just a few weeks of its inauguration, Recoletos 360 parking has become a benchmark in Spain, both for its avant-garde design and for the reuse of 70% of original materials. Finally, thanks to the implementation of technologies such as SIRAM OCR5, this facility is positioned as a flagship of future urban mobility.

A key point to highlight is that Recoletos 360 is the first public parking facility in Madrid to implement a ticketless system based on license plate recognition (SIRAM OCR5 ALPR), ensuring smooth vehicle flow and eliminating congestion at entry and exit points.

The Madrid City Council and EMT required an efficient, sustainable, and fully digitalized access management system, aligned with the objectives of the Madrid 360 Sustainability Strategy. The main requirements were:

1. Reduce queues and improve the user experience at access points by providing smooth and orderly entry, without congestion or long waiting times.
2. Implement a ticketless and barrierless system based on license plate recognition.
3. Ensure integration with a multimodal hub (carsharing, charging points, urban logistics, and bicycles).

Innova, in collaboration with Orbility, provided its intelligent OCR5 ALPR technology, specialized in automatic license plate recognition using AI-based technology. Thanks to its high accuracy and recognition rate, SIRAM OCR5 becomes an optimal solution for the management of parking facilities and mobility hubs.

In addition, our OCR5 ALPR technology, integrated with EMT Madrid’s access management platform, has been key to the deployment of a ticketless and barrierless system that combines innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
