LPR Technology for Vehicle Access Control in Iberia (Madrid)
Iberia´s industrial zone, which since 2013 is the registered office of the IAG aeronautical group, has implemented our automatic license plate recognition system (SIRAM) to carry out the control of vehicular access since 2006.
This year 2017 Iberia decided to update some of the system elements trusting in our effcient technology SIRAM as its vehicle access control system based on the recognition of license plates: allowing the automation of processes and transit control.

Operation
Taking into account Iberia´s needs: to manage the automatic access control of employee vehicles, and to guarantee maximum security of the center and surroundings, from Innova Systems Group we have designed a solution that combines our SIRAM Suite technology and our SIRAM Totem capture units.
An important feature of this LPR installation is the speed and reliability of the license plate recognition system SIRAM OCR, as the entry and exit of thousands of employees is concentrated in very small time slots that demands a quick and effective recognition solution such as SIRAM to manage reading and dealing with possible plate concealments.
High security automated access
SIRAM technology is linked to the operation process of the industrial zone, being a tool that adds efficiency and security to the employees and visits vehicles access control management. These are the features that SIRAM provides:
- Automatic access of all authorized vehicles.
- Registration of vehicles with temporary access authorization (visits)
- Total control and management of the stay periods inside the enclosure.
- Information of all vehicles inside the center at all times.
Hardware used
Iberia´s facilities in its Industrial Zone La Muñoza (Madrid) require versatile capture units that can provide an effective license plate reading in periods of high concentration accesses of vehicles. For this purpose, our ALPR SIRAM Totem capture unit has been chosen, taking into account the location of lanes.

SIRAM OCR is an advanced technology that allows the automatic recognition of license plates in an efficient and unambiguous way through the installation of capture units or LPR cameras.
